What I advise on

Which solutions are relevant for your challenge, whether a project is a good investment, and the implementation, so you get all the way to the finish line. Only analysis, preparation, planning and follow-up are eligible for the grant. Under SMV:Digital I advise, I don't implement.

Mapping critical systems

Which systems does your business depend on, and what happens if they fail?

System landscape and integration

An overview of what you have, what talks to what, what doesn't, and what you can cut.

Requirements for new solutions

Concrete enough to get quotes and pick the right vendor the first time.

Security assessment

How exposed are you to attacks, data leaks and outages, and what does it cost to fix?

AI and data ethics

Where does AI create real value in your business, and how do you do it responsibly?

Implementation advice

Planning, preparation and follow-up, so your digital project actually gets finished.

Processes that can be digitalised

Find the manual processes that eat time and money, and get a plan for automation.

Vendor assessment

Are you paying for what you need, or funding a vendor's business model?

Upskilling your team

Workshops and training, so your people can run and develop things themselves.

How it works

  1. Let's talk

We talk for 30 minutes (free). We find out if the chemistry is there, and whether your project fits SMV:Digital.

  2. Application

You apply for the grant. I can't write the application for you, but I help clarify what the engagement should include.

  3. The engagement starts

We run the project: advice, workshops and training. Everything documented.

  4. Wrap-up

I wrap up, and you get the money refunded from SMV:Digital.

What my advice has looked like in practice

All these projects started with what I do under SMV:Digital: I came in, looked, found the problems and made a plan. Afterwards I helped build. I don't do that under SMV:Digital, but it's why I know my recommendations hold up.

70+ server infrastructure

Spotted performance problems the team had lived with for years. Identified wrong architecture decisions and designed a scalable open source solution. Advised on priorities: what first, what can wait, what should be dropped.

Automated order system

Found that manual order processes cost 2 full-time positions in pure waste. Mapped the flow, found the sources of errors and specified an automation the team could build on.

Contract management

Discovered that contracts lived in spreadsheets, emails and people's heads. Found concrete cases of lost revenue from overlooked clauses and specified the requirements for one shared system.

Sales commissions

Analysed the manual calculation process and found systematic errors nobody had noticed. Advised on a fully transparent solution that removed the conflict between sales and finance.

CTO/key person disappeared

Assessed the situation in under a week. Documented the architecture nobody else knew, and identified the critical decisions that couldn't wait.

Limited capacity

Found that the infrastructure ran at 30-40% capacity with outages that cost revenue. Identified the bottlenecks and advised on the order. Full capacity unlocked within the existing budget.

Why choose me?

I don't advise from the sidelines. I build myself. Most advisors know the theory. I also know the error messages at 11 pm.

When I advise under SMV:Digital, the recommendations come from someone who has faced the same problems. I know what it costs, what can go wrong, and what the vendor doesn't tell you.

Questions?

What does it cost me?

The state covers 50% of the advice, within the pool's ceiling. The company pays the rest. The first 30 minute call is free.

Are you independent?

Yes. No vendor ties, no commission, no hidden interests. I sell no software.

Do you also do the actual work?

Not under SMV:Digital. There I only advise. If you want help building afterwards, it can be a regular project outside the scheme.

Can you train our team?

Yes. Workshops and training are eligible, so your people can run and develop things themselves.

Can you write the application for us?

No, you write the application yourselves. But I help clarify what the engagement should include.
